Christians Aware
Visit to Zambia
May 21st - June 6th, 2019
Group Leaders: Mike Capel
and Henk Strik
Bishop William Mchombo of Eastern Diocese of Zambia has
extended an invitation to CA members to visit Zambia with an
emphasis on his Diocese.

CA invites you to join the group on this their 7th visit to Zambia.
Numbers limited to 16. [Due to limited transport available.]
The group will travel to and stay in  Livingstone before travelling to
visit and stay in Lusaka, Petauke, Katete, Chipata and depart from
Mfuwe. This programme will be adaptable for those wishing to make
their own internal arrangements to visit their Zambian link.
On our journey we will focus on climate change, land use,
environmental  sustainability, together with self help projects and
food security in the rural areas.
We will walk alongside the people in their own ‘back yard’ meeting
and greeting communities and some of the people CA members have
met on previous visits. You will make new friends, join congregations
in their acts of worship, visit rural communities, schools and medical
facilities.
Members will have the opportunity to rest, reflect and recuperate at
the end of the visit with a stay in Mfuwe, gateway to Lungwa National
Park.
There will be a meeting of those signing up to visit, and open also to
those who need more information before making a commitment.
There will be given a full briefing on all aspects of the visit including
the  proposed programme. This will be finalised after the meeting.

The preparation meeting will take place at a time and venue to be
agreed when the group has formed.

Christians Aware is an international and ecumenical movement.

Its main aim is to develop multi-cultural understanding and
friendship, locally, nationally and internationally, in a spirit of
sharing.

Our international visits are pilgrimages rather than holidays. We challenge those
who join the visits to be flexible and open to different ways of living and doing
things, and to be patient and sensitive, happy to listen and learn as well as to
give.
